These are witness sightings and accounts of the creature, in written, sound and image format.

Jameson Whittings, 1730

"It came again last night. Killed Jennings and Simmons. It wasn't unlike anything I've seen in all my days. It must've surprised them while they were on watch. We all thought they had it handled. I mean, it's just some accursed beast. Right? I don't know anymore. All we could hear was the screaming and the creature's call, low and growling. That sound, it was unnatural. Inhuman, clearly, but it was more than just some animal. It shook the woods. We could all feel the vibrations rattling through our cabins, practically shaking our beds. I ran out as fast as I could. But I was too late. That pale face. It has to be a demon, straight from the fiery bowels of hell itself. It's taken out seven of our men now. We have to hunt this godless monster before it ruins everything we've built. Before it kills us all."

Adelaide Morgan, Dated March 2nd, 1759

"Oh, it was horrible! Some godless creature kept screeching all night, but no one could identify what it was, not even father, who knew the woods from the back of his hand. Then we heard the horses bucking and crying, and Father went out with several of our servants with his rifle. My sisters and I hid in the cupboard, praying to God. We heard shots; it felt like ages before the cupboard door opened. It was John, and he told us that our father had been attacked! Oh, mercy, please spare my father! God save his soul. "

Leonard Van Cortlandt, Dated August 21st, 1886

"The boy came in today with the deceased hand of an animal. I've never seen any of its likeness. The Americas still seem to have mysteries hidden within her breast. I unraveled it and was immediately expelled by its pungent odor. But the investigation continued. At first glance, it seemed to be a sizeable feline-type paw, but further investigation revealed that the paw was far too large to be of any animal observed so far in the Americas, and the pad was shaped differently. Enough to indicate its status as an ambush predator, but not strictly place it in the genus feline. For now, I placed it in a solution that should strip the flesh off the bone. "

Unknown, 1898

If anyone should find this note, please understand what I had to do. It was coming, picking us off one by one with that smile. Edward was suffering, burning up after he got bitten. I couldn't let the beast get him and make him suffer so I... put him to rest. Please forgive me. I know the beast will come for me next. I'll put up a fight and make sure it can't hurt anyone ever again.

Dated December 6th, 1916 - [Interview of Miranda Woodsworth]

["We were chopping down wood for the factories near sunset when we all heard it. A most peculiar sound coming from the Blackwood Forest. We noticed our supervisor wasn't looking, so we, compelled by curiosity and encouragement from others , decided to let the new girl investigate. We saw her go further in until we couldn't see her anymore. Then we heard a terrible scream, and I'll admit, that sound still chills me to the bone. We all went to find her, but I saw her first. I. I'm sorry, just give me a moment. Okay, I'm ready to continue. I saw, I saw a hand. But I knew something was wrong, as it looked so pale, and when I got closer, blood seemed to creep towards the palm. I called her name, but nothing. I went ahead and, oh, oh god. She was lying there, but her arm, her arm was taken clean off. Her face was pale, and she wasn't moving. I- I went to her and called for her, but she didn't move. Then I saw - I saw a demon. It was in the bush, and I can vividly remember its face, its bone-white face covered in blood. It wasn't like anything I had ever seen. It stared at me and I couldn't help it, I ran; I ran as fast as I could.[could it have been a bear or a wolf?] No, no, I would've known if it was. I remember too well. Oh, that poor girl."]

Dated 1927, December 6th [transcript of an interview with Samuel Gramms]

"My partner James and I were sent out under reports of people getting high by the Morgan farm. But when we went there, there was only blood. We found a survivor, and she begged us to take her away before it came back. A noise was heard, so I stayed behind to help get her to the mobile, and James went to investigate. I got her in and went to call James when I heard gunshots. I ran as fast as I could, but then I saw something that made me freeze. It was a large creature. I couldn't see its face, but I could hear the sound of ripping. I shot at it several times, and it moved faster than I could react and ran into the woods. When I got closer, I realized that - that the monster had ripped James's head clean off. We, we need to get back out there and get that damn thing. [officer, you need to rest] I can't rest till I find that fucking monster. "(Later, the surviving officer, Samuel Gramms, was never found again. He left a note. It reads, "No one believes me, but I know it's out there. And I'm gonna kill it. For James. "

"We were hiking, and yeah, I'll admit, it was too close to night, but we didn't know it would take that long. But we were hiking towards the falls when we heard a loud growling sound. Now, I don't know about you, but when I hear growling, I run away. But I thought it might be a grizzly bear, and I know running is the worst idea, so I told the rest of the group to lie down. But it just kept growling, and I could see its teeth next to my face, and it was drooling. Then it roared in my face, but I just froze. I didn't want to react, then I felt like these claws on my back, and it hurt like hell. But I didn't move. But Jessica did. It went after her, and we all got up and ran as fast as we could. When we got back to the campsite, half of us wanted to leave and get help, but it would be a 3-hour drive, and the other half wanted to go back for her. I didn't know what to do. Then we all saw it; Danny, Josh, Mike, and Emma will tell you the same. But we all saw these glowing eyes with my flashlight. We couldn't see very well in the dark, but we all knew it wasn't a damn bear. It started growling again, and I froze while everyone else ran. Its eyes focused on Mike, and it went after him. After we got in the car, we wanted to turn back, but it just stared at us. So we - we left and got help. But Mike was already dead when they got there. "

" We were camping - we wanted to be away from other people as much as possible, so we took the campsite 26. I've been camping loads of times, but it felt off this time if you know what I mean. I knew there were reports of bears in the area, so as always, I took the proper precautions. But I could hear this heavy breathing in the middle of the night. I looked over to Janet, and she could hear it, too. We both froze and hoped it would go away. But it didn't, it started slashing at the tent, and we tried to keep still, we really did, but it must've gotten Janet's because she started screaming and then it slashed even harder. Then we knew we had to get out and managed to break free for the most part, but my legs were still stuck in the tent. Janet kept screaming, and when I finally got free, I tried to turn around and help her. But it wasn't like any animal I've ever seen- it was massive, and its face looked like a damn skull. It wasn't stopping, but I started yelling and raising my arms. It stopped and looked at me. And I just ran. It started chasing after me, but I didn't get far before it knocked me down. It bit me right on the shoulder, and it burned. I thought I was a goner, so I just closed my eyes. But Janet, the good woman she is, must have gotten to the car because I just heard a thud and the weight off of me. I don't know how I focused on anything but the pain. She got me to the car and we just drove to the nearest hospital. I dont' know how we made it out alive, but we did. Poor Janet lost her leg in the process, though, and I went through a whole process where the wound was infected, and the usual antibiotics wouldn't fix it, so we were in the hospital for a while. "
